With Churchill Music! you can be absolutely sure that what we promise, we deliver!

Top class musicians and great entertainment were on the programme and the Carducci Quartet gave us all that and much, much more.

On Friday morning they were at Churchill Academy for workshops for string players, with a particular emphasis on the students' own compositions. This was a huge success, and the quartet were able to disentangle and perform a piece which had baffled other professional musicians.

In the afternoon it was the turn of the younger element, with Year 2 children from local primary schools transported by Churchill Academy for a special children’s interactive concert generously sponsored by The Cavatina Chamber Music Trust. The children were kept rapt and fully engaged by the Carducci's expertise and skill with this age group. They showed them the surprising sounds that can be produced by stringed instruments as well as playing a number of short pieces, while involving the children with interactive games. The feedback has been very positive...Wow! being a typical reaction! Our very grateful thanks go to Cavatina – a trust that brings chamber music to young people and young people to chamber music.

Saturday evening brought the main event, with a full house being given a high octane concert, Beethoven, Ravel and Mozart played with the Quartet's usual much loved style and extreme musicianship. Any praise for these outstanding players is so richly deserved and the capacity audience showed their appreciation with Churchill Music! champions' customary enthusiasm.
